Reminiscent of a Loire Valley Cab Franc, the Russiz Superiore is a fine example of why international varieties are widely grown in Italy’s Collio DOC. Its deceptive, deep purple hue gives way to a light-bodied, infinitely crushable wine, full of black cherry and plum flavors. Give it a slight chill for a refreshing, easy-drinking experience on a warm summer’s day.
