This South African Bordeaux blend is characterized by a persistent, yet not unpleasant smoky note, which would pair perfectly with a juicy slab of grilled red meat. Plum and blackberry aromas are complemented by herbaceous notes from the blend’s Cabernet Franc. Petit Verdot, meanwhile, provides a wild, rugged character. After spending some two years fermenting and aging in French oak, the 2014 vintage has benefitted from two further years bottle age and is absolutely ready to drink now.
